Self Hosting Log - 001 - Intro

Formally introducing my content on self hosting!

In a few blog posts, I have talked about self hosting, but I wanted to start a series where I document my journey in a bit more formal detail. I have some catching up to do as I have obviously been doing this for a few months now. I’m hoping to edit my website a bit so that I can have content by series, so it can be easily accessed. But, I will be talking about what software I’m running, how I deploy it, where I have deployed it to, along with just general musings on the topic as a whole. Not to mention the bits where everything just combusts in a ball of flames as that’s when one learns the most!

So, that’s at least one of my plans for 2022, get a pipeline of blog posts and other content creation up and running. There’s a massive amount of things in my side project backlog too, so I’m hoping that over time, my blog will become a place folks will want to visit to gain knowledge and maybe just to follow my crazy antics!

Thank you!

You could of consumed content on any website, but you went ahead and consumed my content, so I'm very greatful! If you liked this, then you might like this other piece of content I worked on.

Photographer

I've no real claim to fame when it comes to good photos, so it's why the header photo for this post was shot by Marc-Olivier Jodoin . You can find some more photos from them on Unsplash. Unsplash is a great place to source photos for your website, presentation and more! But it wouldn't be anything without the photographers who put in the work.

Support what I do

I write for the love and passion I have for technology. Just reading and sharing my articles is more than enough. But if you want to offer more direct support, then you can support the running costs of my website by donating via Stripe. Only do so if you feel I have truly delivered value, but as I said, your readership is more than enough already. Thank you :)
