A quick summary about me

Hello! I'm based out of Cork, Ireland, working full time in tech as a Senior DevOps Software Engineer with C.H. Robinson. Primarily I help to maintain the infrastructure that powers the development lifecycle of the applications built by the company. I love to blog, sharing my thoughts and experiences as I go on various journey's with my hobbies. For the most part I talk about self hosting and other bits of technology that I encounter in my life, but I also touch on my own life from time to time. I also maintain a small side business, helping out with peoples websites or even introducing technology into their homes in a way that tries to not have a huge reliance on big tech and maintain a sense of privacy. Trivy Trials and Tribulations

On Sunday, March 22 2026 I woke up to some messages in a Discord server I frequent that Trivy, the popular security tool often used to scan container images, suffered a supply chain attack. That attack, among other things, affected their GitHub Action, which I happen to use in my pipelines. The window of time where it was reported that the Action was compromised, I believed to have included time where my pipelines using the Action, would have ran. So I had to assume that I was compromised. What did I do then?
